Cutthroat Campground is a small tent-only campground set along the shoreline of Big Lake. Its approximately 18 sites are distributed beneath ponderosa pine, spruce, Douglas fir and aspen, providing shade and a quiet high-country setting.

Several campsites require campers to walk in from the parking area, and some are positioned particularly close to the water. The campground is a strong choice for anglers, paddlers and tent campers who want a smaller and less RV-oriented environment.
